Sooooo good!! And I love the sauce bar here. It had soo many options to create your ideal dipping sauce. The staff was helpful and friendly. Not too busy when we came on a Thursday around 7. But towards the end of our dinner it started to get a bit busy. Ordered the meat lovers for 2. And got the mushroom soup base and the tom ka. Both were delicious. It comes with 3 orders of meat and of course your usual veggies. The meat was plentiful and definitely a lot to go around.. even for 3 people. Might be my new fave hot pot place.

Mumu is a pretty solid option for hot pot! There is usually a wait for dinner, but it's not too bad since there are plenty of seats. The ordering process is done through your phone, and you can also pay with your phone so there's not much interaction with the staff. The food is good and we almost always have leftovers to bring home. I personally like the set where I get a tray of assorted veggies and one choice of meat. It feels like a good amount of food and I really appreciate the variety!

First time to try, so went there earlier (to void waiting in line lol). Picked Meat Lover (for party of 2). We had beef tougue, wagyu beef toro, and prime black angus beef short ribs, and one veggie plate. Their meat slice is pretty thin. When you were hungry, you would feel you could eat them all in few bites. But in fact, too full for 2 people. hahaha They have 10 soup base and you also can make your own dipping sauce. It was a good experience!

Meat lovers combo was perfect for my husband and I. We liked how we couldn't finish bring home leftovers unlike AYCE hot pot places. The only downside is that you can't stuff your face with hella meats. Perhaps that's actually a good thing because you're able to have a more balanced meal with the amount of veggies they serve on the platter. The sauce bar had the staples like sesame paste, ponzu, garlic, cilantro, etc. We thought the meal was perfect and satisfying!

Great hotpot place! Everyone gets individual pots, so you can pick the broth you actually want instead of compromising. I'm a personal fan of the tomato - it's super tomato-ey. High-quality meat and assortment of veggies and noodles. It doesn't actually look like that much food at first, but it's a sizable portion, and I always leave full. We usually get the Meat Lover combo, with 2 soups, 2 noodles, 3 meats, and 1 large veggie platter. This place is usually pretty busy, so expect a bit of a wait unless you go on the later side. Good place to eat even if there are any games on, with multiple TVs in the central bar area.

We had stumbled upon this place upon a roadtrip. The two different broths we had ordered were Sukiyaki and Tom Yum. The Sukiyaki was pretty sweet but alright. As for the Tom Yum, it's pretty sour. However, really loved the sauces here! Spicy ponzo. The meat was also pretty good.

I had been so disappointed by AYCE hotpot places that I've been to in the last year so I was actively avoiding hotpot restaurants but decided to give Mumu a try. It's not AYCE, but you can order by combos which can definitely fill you up! Their signature special gives two soup bases, two meats, two sides, two rice/noodles, and a large platter of veggies. What disappointed me in the past was bland broth but the soup here is super flavorful! I can't handle spice well so I got the mushroom soup base. It went with the meats so well. I suggest their wagyu. The fat makes the meat so soft when you eat it. It's a delicious bite every time. I also highly recommend their passion fruit orange tea. It's sweet without being overpowering and the orange compliments the tartness of passion fruit so well. So refreshing!! I wish more restaurants had a similar drink. The waiters here are also attentive and informative. They make sure you know how their ordering process works and is very attentive at making sure your table stays clean of trash while you eat. The restaurant can get a bit full when it's busy since everyone's in a relatively close proximity to each other, but I've never felt stuffy inside.

After so many years, finally visited this place. Still had to wait 10 minutes for a table at dinner time. Wifey and I decided on the Mumu's signature for two: 2 soup bases, 2 meats, 2 sides, 2 rice/noodle, and 1 veggie platter. We got the Sichuan spicy and miso for the 2 soup bases. Both meats were excellent. I like the Australian M9 chuck eye a bit more than the prime black angus beef short rib. The shrimp paste was tasty and I was surprised at how good the fried bean curd rolls were, especially cooking in the spicy sauce. Almost a bit too spicy for my wife. Both the house ramen and instant noodle were great. I prefer the instant noodle a tad more. I didn't think we'd have enough veggies, but the portion was generous and we barely finished. With a free sake from Yelp first time check-in, this was an awesome meal. Initially I thought this place would be expensive and not fulfilling. It costs about the same as the upgraded meals at Happy Lamb hot pot. Although Happy Lamb is all you can eat, Mumu provided enough food for our money's worth. Plus, its food quality is certainly above Happy Lamb's. I would rank Mumu's higher than Happy Lamb. Thus, we will certainly be back and try other side dishes.

Amazinggggg hot pot spot right here in Pleasanton!!! Across from the Livermore Outlets, location is great. We went on a rainy fall day expecting the New Zealand lamb to be halal. We were quite surprised to see three meats on the menu labeled as halal! And all the broths except for two were vegan! We got the 3 meats, 2 broths, and veggie plate combo for 2 people and food was MORE than enough. We enjoyed all the complimentary sauces bar and loved both the broths (1 Miso and 1 Mushroom). The ponzu sauce was my favorite. The ambiance was nice, everything was clean, and the food delicious. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best hot pot spot in the Bay Area! I'm telling everyone I know about this spot, we had such a great time! Halal meats are: Australian M9 Chuck Eye (THE BEST!) Wagyu beef toro (very fatty) New Zealand Lamb (my second favorite)
